The Facility strives to provide and maintain a safe environment and has established the following information to accomplish this for all residents.

The Facility provides all Residents with an electric operated bed, a bedside stand, a dresser, wardrobe, and an over the bed table. Residents may bring in their own furniture if space permits.

Residents may have a TV in their room and there is a minimal cable TV fee charged each month.

Residents may have their own telephone and are responsible for the connection and are billed personally by the telephone company.

Fans are allowed in the rooms but must be table top and not floor stands for safety reasons.

The Facility strives to accommodate the Resident’s personal belongings and furniture. However, the Resident room may need to be configured to allow the maneuvering of lifts and other care equipment safely. The Therapeutic Activities Department will evaluate the configuration of the resident’s room to meet the resident’s individual medical and equipment needs.

The following items are not permitted because of safety regulations are:
1. Residential type extension cords
2. Heating pads or heating blankets
3. Floor fans
4. Knick-knack shelves

Also, please do not put nails or screws into the walls to hang items. The facility has “on command” type hangers available. The Facility provides bulletin boards for each resident’s personal use.

All items brought into the Facility must be in good repair and possess no health or safety hazards.
