Dietary Unit


Here at Suncrest we now employ a culinary team of approximately 80. With the guidance of their experienced managing team of professionals, to include” Executive Chef, culinary managers, and culinary and sanitation trainers; to prepare meals with good tastes, variety and an appetizing appearance.

Our culinary department gets direct support from our (C.R.D.) Registered Dietitians, and also receives routing consultations with our experienced (D.T.R.) Dietetic Technician Registered, to assure that the meals for our 202 residents are of proper nutrition, weight control, and in accordance with all physicians’ orders.

Our culinary team is in constant atmosphere of furthering education for all of our therapeutic and medically altered diets used in our facility. With non stop in-service education to keep up to date with all new procedures for quality assurance, all through the serve-safe procedure, a nationally registered course, which was designed by the National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation.

This will rounded training course is used by many Health Departments, and covers every aspect of food safety in a facility. We also serve lunch for 50-55 children daily, in child care and up to 150 employees in our café for lunch and dinner.

Our Suncrest family is dedicated to our residents, which is reflected in the meal service. We have a wonderful team of staff lead by our in-service director in training, nursing staff, as well as our C.N.A in a family atmosphere, to assure our residents of a wonderful dining experience, in all aspects of a food, nutritional and comfortable environment.
